Strange and deceptive 譎怪 (the first character is 古穴 fanqie; Zheng's commentary on the Analects states: "Jue means deceitful"; the Fangyan states: "East of the Pass, deceit is called jue"; the Shuowen says: "Devious deception; in Liang and Yi it is called miu, throughout the empire it is called jue"; it is composed of 言 with 矞 phonetic; sometimes written as 憰).
