精鬽（眉祕反考聲云神鬼為恠也說文老物精也從彡鬼聲也或從未作魅或從勿作𩲐並俗字也今止觀中從女作媚非也媚悅也美也愛也非經義）。

精鬽 (pronounced with the fanqie 眉祕 [mei + mi]. The Kaosheng states: 'Spirits and ghosts performing anomalies.' The Shuowen states: 'The essence of ancient things; formed from radical 彡 with 鬼 as the phonetic.' Also written with 未 as 魅, or with 勿 as 𩲐; both are vulgar forms. Currently in the Zhiguan it is written with radical 女 as 媚, which is incorrect; 媚 means pleasing, beautiful, or loving, and does not fit the textual sense).
