倏尒（上舒育反王逸注楚辭云倐忽如電也廣疋倏光也蒼頡篇忽也古今正字往來倐忽也從火攸聲或從犬作倏同用是也）。

倏尒 (the upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 舒育 [shu + yu]. Wang Yi's commentary on the Chuci states: '倏忽 means swift as lightning.' The Guangya states: '倏 means light.' The Cangjie pian states: 'Sudden.' The Gujin zhengzi states: 'Coming and going swiftly (倐忽); formed from radical 火 with 攸 as the phonetic.' Sometimes written with radical 犬 as 倏, which has the same usage and is correct).
