一掬（鳩陸反廣疋云掬杼也說文人[(羍-干+十)*訇]云兩手撮也從手從[(羍-干+十)*訇]省聲[(羍-干+十)*訇]音同上聲類作匊古文作臼義並同撮音倉捋反）。

A double handful (一掬: [掬 has the] fanqie jiū + lù [jū]. The Guangya says: 'Jū means a scoop.' The Shuowen jiezi under the character 𠨯 says: 'To scoop up with both hands. Formed from 手 (hand) with abbreviated 𠨯 phonetic.' 𠨯 has the same pronunciation as above. The Shenglei writes it as 匊; the ancient script writes it as 臼; the meanings are all identical. 撮 has the fanqie cāng + luó [cuō]).
