諠雜（上暉𡊮反正體或作讙聲類諠譁也鄭玄注禮記云諠囂聲也香妖反下財合反俗字也正體作襍說文云集五彩之衣曰雜從衣集聲也今作雜變體俗字也因草書變衣為立謬也）。

Noisy and chaotic: the upper character has the fanqie *hui* + *yuan*. The standard graph is sometimes written as 讙. The *Shenglei* states: '諠 (*xuan*) means clamor.' Zheng Xuan's commentary on the *Liji* states: '諠 means the sound of clamor,' pronounced *xiang* + *yao*. The lower character has the fanqie *cai* + *he*. It is a popular character; the standard graph is written as 襍. The *Shuowen* states: 'Clothing gathering five colors is called 雜 (*za*).' It has the clothing radical (衣) and 集 as its phonetic component. Nowadays, writing it as 雜 is a variant popular graph; because of cursive script, the clothing radical was altered to 立, which is an error.
