玉豪 (h-[u]-g-[ao] fan; a borrowed character; the standard form derives from 毛 [hair], written as 毫 [háo]. Speaking of the 'jade hair', it is the white curl of hair (ūrṇā) between the Tathāgata's eyebrows. Brilliant white and lustrous, it is like white jade. From this hair-mark, the Buddha emits great light that illuminates the worlds of the ten directions; hence it is called 'the auspicious colour of the jade hair').
