關邏（上告環反鄭玄注周禮云界上門也聲類關扃也癸熒反說文云以水橫持門戶也從門𢇇古還反聲也𢇇字從𢆶音幽丱古患反聲也下勒餓反考聲云邏遮也集訓曰遊兵斥候遮邏也）。

關邏 (the upper character is 告 + 環 fanqie. Zheng Xuan's commentary on the Zhouli says: 'A gateway at the border.' The Shenglei says: '關 means a bar (扃, 癸 + 熒 fanqie).' The Shuowen says: 'To bar a door crosswise with timber.' It takes 門 as semantic and 𢇇 (古 + 還 fanqie) as phonetic. The character 𢇇 takes 𢆶 (pronounced 幽) and 丱 (古 + 患 fanqie) as phonetic. The lower character is 勒 + 餓 fanqie. The Kaosheng says: '邏 means to intercept.' The Jixun says: 'Roving soldiers and scouts intercepting and patrolling').
