沈淪（上持林反集訓云沈沒也莊子曰是陸沈者顧野王曰人之居陸而若沈溺無聞朝廷是陸沈也下音倫考聲云淪漬也資四反說文沒也從水侖聲侖音倫）。

沈淪 (The upper character is ch-[i]-l-[in] fan. The Jixun says: '沈 means to submerge.' Zhuangzi says: 'These are the dry-land submerged.' Gu Yewang says: 'When a person lives on land yet is as if drowned and unheard of at the imperial court, that is land-submergence.' The lower character is pronounced lún. The Kaosheng says: '淪 means to soak; z-[i]-s-[i] fan.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To sink; it derives from 水 [water] with 侖 [lún] phonetic; 侖 is pronounced lún').
