涯際（五家反韻詮云水邊也考聲亦云水畔也孔注尚書涯亦際也說文作厓山邊也下音祭廣雅際合也方也杜注左傳云　也考聲云畔也界也說文會也）。

Borders and bounds (涯際: [the upper character is pronounced] wǔ-jiā fan [yá]. The Yunquan says: "Water's edge." The Kaosheng also says: "The riverbank." Kong's commentary on the Shangshu says: "Yá also means boundary." The Shuowen writes it as 厓: "The edge of a mountain." The lower character is pronounced jì. The Guangya says: "Jì means to meet; a direction/side." Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan says: "A margin." The Kaosheng says: "Bank; limit." The Shuowen says: "Meeting").
