Striking and colliding (掁𧢻: the upper character is pronounced zhái-héng fan [chéng]. The Guangya writes it as 楟: "Tíng means to prick," [pronounced] qīng-yì fan. The Kaosheng says: "Chéng means to strike," [pronounced] zhuó-jiāng fan. It takes shǒu [hand] as radical and cháng as phonetic. It is also written as 𢾊 with the same meaning and usage. The lower character is pronounced chù-zhú fan [chù]. The Guangya says: "𧢻 means to poke," tún-hū fan. The Zishu says: "To butt against or encounter by mistake." It is also written as 觕, deriving from niú [ox] and jiǎo [horn] as an associative compound. In the sūtra it is written as 觸, which is vulgar usage).
