捔𠢧（上音角考聲云捔接也正體作斠從冓音勾從斗說文斠量也下昇證反從力𠢧省聲也𠢧音承孕反經文從月從豸俗字也）。

Contending and striving (捔𠢧: the upper character is pronounced jiǎo. The Kaosheng says: "捔 means to engage with." The orthodox form is written 斠, taking gōu (pronounced gōu) and dǒu; the Shuowen says: "斠 means to measure." The lower character is pronounced shēng-zhèng fan [shèng]. It takes lì [strength] and 𠢧 abbreviated as phonetic; 𠢧 is pronounced chéng-yùn fan. In the text of the sūtra it is written with yuè and zhì, which is a vulgar variant).
