薄伽梵（梵語如來尊號也眾德之美稱也佛地論偈云自在熾盛與端嚴名稱吉祥及尊貴如是六種義差別應知總號薄伽梵此為文含多義譯經者恐不盡其妙故存梵語也）。

薄伽梵 (Sanskrit; an exalted title of the Tathāgata, an honorific appellation for his multitude of virtues. A verse in the *Buddhabhūmi-śāstra* states: 'Sovereignty, flourishing brilliance, and dignified composure, / Renown, auspiciousness, and supremacy— / Known as having distinct meanings of these six kinds, / The general title is to be understood as Bhagavān.' Because this term contains many meanings, the translators of the sūtra feared failing to capture all its subtleties, and so retained the Sanskrit term).
