布單那（梵語鬼名也或名富單那或云富陀那皆訛略不正也此言臭穢雖身形臭穢是餓鬼中福之最勝者）。

Pūtana (布單那; Sanskrit, the name of a spirit. It is also named fudanna (富單那) or futuona (富陀那); these are all corrupt and incorrect. Here it means "foul-smelling"; although their physical forms are foul-smelling, they possess the most supreme merit among hungry ghosts).
