㭊一（星亦反韻英析分也說文破木也正作析從木從斤或從片作㭊片半木字也亦通）。

㭊一 The first character is pronounced s- + -iɛk [xī]. The Yunying says: "析 means to split." The Shuowen jiezi says: "To split wood." The standard form is written 析, derived from "wood" and "axe." Some write it with 片 as 㭊; 片 signifies half a piece of wood, which is also acceptable.
