陶師（唐勞反集訓窯也音姚窯燒瓦器土室也正作匋考聲云瓦竈也昆吾所作從[午/止]甫苟反勹音包今經中從阜作陶陶丘也相承用亦通也）。

陶師 (Potter: [陶 has] the fanqie 唐勞 [táo]. The Jixun says: “A kiln.” The sound is 姚 [yáo]. A kiln is an earthen chamber for firing pottery. The orthodox graph is written 匋. The Kaosheng says: “A pottery kiln, invented by Kunwu.” It is composed of [午/止] (fanqie 甫苟 [fǒu]) and 勹 (sound 包 [bāo]). Now in the sūtras it is written with the radical 阜 as 陶, meaning Taogao [a place name]; inherited usage also accepts it.)
