逆旅（迎戟反說文迎也從辵丑略反屰聲屰音逆今通作𨒫訛也下力貯反賈逵注國語云旅客也杜注左傳云逆旅客舍也說文旅軍也五百人也古文作[山/(企-止+?)]從㫃於蹇反從二人古從字也經從作旅非也）。

逆旅 (Lodge / inn: [逆 has] the fanqie 迎戟 [yí]. The Shuowen says: “To welcome.” It is composed of the semantic 辵 (fanqie 丑略 [chù]) and the phonetic 屰. 屰 has the sound 逆 [nì]. Nowadays it is commonly written 𨒫, which is corrupt. The second character has the fanqie 力貯 [lǚ]. Jia Kui’s commentary on the Guoyu says: “旅 means a guest.” Du’s commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: “逆旅 means an inn.” The Shuowen says: “A military brigade of five hundred men.” The ancient script writes it [山/(企-止+?)], composed of 㫃 (fanqie 於蹇 [yǎn]) and two 人, which is the ancient character 從. The sūtra writing it 旅 is incorrect.)
