蜫蟲（上音昆正體作䖵文字集略作蜫集訓云蜫虫總名下逐融反爾雅曰有足曰蟲今經文從省作虫非本字虫音毀也）。

蜫蟲 (Insects and bugs: the first character has the sound 昆 [kūn], whose orthodox form is written 䖵; the Wenzi jilüe writes it 蜫. The Jixun says: “A general term for creeping insects.” The second character has the fanqie 逐融 [chóng]. The Erya says: “Creatures with legs are called 蟲.” Nowadays the sūtra text uses the abbreviated graph 虫, which is not the original character; 虫 has the sound 毀 [huǐ].)
