𠯗食（𭨚臘反考聲嗍也淺入口而味之也從口帀聲也帀音迊說文作𠾱衘也經文作唼此字有二音玉篇音所甲反非經意今不取下食字說文從入從皂經從良俗字也亼音精入反皂音彼立反也）。

Sipping and eating (𠯗食: the first character is 𭨚 + 臘 fanqie; the Kaosheng says: "To suck; to take shallowly into the mouth and taste it; it takes 'mouth' (口) as semantic and 帀 as phonetic." 帀 is pronounced 迊. The Shuowen writes it 𠾱, meaning to hold in the mouth. In the sūtra text it is written 唼; this character has two pronunciations, the Yupian's pronunciation of 所 + 甲 fanqie does not fit the sūtra's meaning and is not adopted here. For the second character, 食, the Shuowen says it takes 入 and 皂; in the sūtra it is written with 良, which is a popular variant. 亼 is pronounced 精 + 入 fanqie; 皂 is pronounced 彼 + 立 fanqie).
