搏逐（補各反廣雅搏擊也韻詮云手擊也蒼頡篇至也聲類捕也說文索持也從手博省聲也專字作甫從寸經從專非也下蟲六反顧野王曰逐追也驅也說文逐走也從辵丑略反豖丑錄反聲也又說豖字豖絆也於豕字上加一畫經從豕作逐俗字）。

搏逐 (To seize and pursue: [bo has] the fanqie 補各; the Guangya says: 'Bo means to strike.' The Yunquan says: 'To strike with the hand.' The Cangjiepian says: 'To arrive.' The Shenglei says: 'To catch.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To search for and hold.' It is formed with the hand radical 扌 and bo 博 as abbreviated phonetic; the component zhuan 專 is written as fu 甫 with cun 寸; in the sūtra text writing it with zhuan 專 is incorrect. The second [zhu has] the fanqie 蟲六; Gu Yewang says: 'Zhu means to chase; to drive away.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Zhu means to run after.' It is formed with the movement radical 辵 (pronounced with the fanqie 丑略) and chu 豖 (pronounced with the fanqie 丑錄) as phonetic. It also explains that the character chu 豖 means to hobble, formed by adding a single stroke atop the character shi 豕. In the sūtra text, writing it with shi 豕 as 逐 is the vulgar character).
