祗仰（上旨夷反毛詩傳曰祗敬也從示氐聲也下魚雨反說文仰望也從匕從卩音節作卬古字也今從人作仰）。

祗仰 (To revere and look up to: the first [zhi has] the fanqie 旨夷; the Mao commentary to the Shijing says: 'Zhi means respectful.' It is formed with the altar radical 示 and di 氐 as phonetic. The second [yang has] the fanqie 魚雨; the Shuowen jiezi says: 'Yang means to look up and gaze.' It is formed with bi 匕 and jie 卩, pronounced jie 節, written as 卬 in the ancient character form; now it is written with the person radical 亻 as 仰).
