門閫（坤穩反鄭注禮記云閫門限也說文闕閫字而有闑及榍字物雖是一而多名門閾門閾門榍門砌皆門限也俗呼門砌因以石作遂音砌為切閾韋逼反闑魚烈反㨝先結反穩溫本反也）。

門閫 (Pronounced kun3 [kun-wen fan]. Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the Book of Rites says: '閫 means a doorsill.' The Shuowen jiezi lacks the character 閫, but has the characters 闑 and 榍. Although it is one object, it has many names: 門閾, 門閫, 門榍, and 門砌 are all doorsills. In vulgar speech it is called 門砌; because it is made of stone, 砌 came to be pronounced qie4. 閾 is pronounced yu4 [wei-bi fan]; 闑 is pronounced nie4 [yu-lie fan]; 㨝 is pronounced jie2 [xian-jie fan]; 穩 is pronounced wen3 [wen-ben fan]).
