奪聽（上徒活反下體廷反考聲耳聞也說文聆也從悳音得從耳壬聲壬音天郢反）。

Deprived of hearing (奪聽: the upper character [deprive (奪)] is 徒 [tu] + 活 [huo] [duó]; the lower character [hearing (聽)] is 體 [ti] + 廷 [ting] [tīng]. The Kaosheng says: 'Hearing with the ears.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'To listen.' Composed of 悳 (pronounced 得 [dé]) and ear (耳), with 壬 as phonetic; 壬 is pronounced 天 [tian] + 郢 [ying] [tǐng]).
