尋梁(祥淫反前文已具釋下力強反尋梁者今之鉤欄上尋杖木也說文梁字從水從田從木古文從水從本從木作渿經從氷非也)。

Handrail beams (xunliang 尋梁: [xun is pronounced with the] fanqie xiang-yin 祥淫; it has already been fully explained above. The second character is [pronounced with the] fanqie li-qiang 力強. Xunliang refers to the upper handrail beam of modern balustrades. The Shuowen says: “The character liang 梁 is composed of 'water' (shui 水), 'field' (tian 田), and 'wood' (mu 木).” In ancient script it was composed of 'water' (shui 水), 'root' (ben 本), and 'wood' (mu 木), written as 渿. In the sūtra text it is written with 'ice' (bing 氷), which is incorrect).
