曲櫺（歷亭反說文楯為欄檻也櫺為楯間子也俗呼摠名鈎欄也）。

Curved lattice (quling 曲櫺: [ling is pronounced with the] fanqie li-ting 歷亭. The Shuowen says: “Shun 楯 means railing. Ling 櫺 means the upright bars between railings.” Common parlance refers to the whole collectively as goulan [balustrade]).
