苦瓠（胡故反考聲云瓜瓠也郭璞注尒雅云瓠[弗/瓜]也味苦者有毒不堪食可入藥用說文匏也從瓜夸聲也夸音呼故反）。

Bitter calabash (苦瓠: [the second character] has the fanqie hu + gu; the Kaosheng says: 'The melon-calabash'; Guo Pu's commentary on the Erya says: 'The 瓠[弗/瓜] gourd; those bitter in taste are poisonous and unfit to eat, but may be used as medicine'; the Shuowen says: 'A bottle gourd'; composed of 瓜 with 夸 phonetic; 夸 has the fanqie hu + gu).
