尖幖（上接閻反會意也下必遙反說文幟也字書竿頭也正體從巾票聲也灬票二字音同經文從木或從手作標誤用也）。

尖幖 (The upper character is pronounced jian1 [jie-yan fan]; it is an associative compound character. The lower character is pronounced biao1 [bi-yao fan]. The Shuowen jiezi says: 'A banner.' A character book says: 'The tip of a pole.' The standard form has 'cloth' (巾) with 票 as phonetic. The two characters 灬 and 票 have the same pronunciation. The sūtra text writes 標 with 'wood' (木) or with 'hand' (手), which is an erroneous usage).
