腳蹋（上薑虐反說文脚脛也從肉郤聲郤音強略反經文從去俗字也下徒合反考聲踐也從足[日/羽]聲[日/羽]音他合反經中從翕作蹹誤也非踐蹋字也）。

Trample underfoot (腳蹋: the upper character is ji[āng]-nüè [fǎn]; the Shuowen says: "腳 means the shin." It takes the flesh radical (肉) and xì (郤) phonetic. 郤 is pronounced qi[áng]-lüè [fǎn]. The sūtra text written with qù (去) is a vulgar character. The lower character is t[ú]-hé [fǎn]; the Kaosheng says: "To tread upon." It takes the foot radical (足) and tà ([日/羽]) phonetic. [日/羽] is pronounced t[ā]-hé [fǎn]. In the sūtra written with xì (翕) as 蹹 is an error; it is not the character for treading upon).
