上[肉*鬲]（古核反文字集略膈匈內也說文從肉鬲聲鬲音革經文從阜作隔隔即非此義也）。

上[肉*鬲] (shàng-gé; fanqie: gǔ + hé [gé]. The Wenzi jilüe says: '膈 means inside the chest.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 肉 as semantic component and 鬲 as phonetic component.' 鬲 is pronounced gé. In the sūtra text it is written with 阜 as 隔, which does not convey this meaning.)
