謗讒（補浪反杜注左傳謗毀也又詛也賈注國語云誹謗也又對人說其惡也下仕咸反毛詩傳曰讒以言毀人也說文從言毚聲也毚音仕咸反）。

謗讒 (bàng-chán; fanqie: bǔ + làng [bàng]. Du [Yu]'s commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: '謗 means to slander; it also means to curse.' Jia [Kui]'s commentary on the Guoyu says: 'It means to defame; it also means to speak of another's wrongdoing to someone else.' The second character has the fanqie: shì + xián [chán]. The Mao commentary on the Shijing says: '讒 means to harm someone with words.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It takes 言 as semantic component and 毚 as phonetic component.' 毚 has the fanqie: shì + xián.)
