鞕𱁲（上五更反字書鞕牢也考聲堅也有作硬俗字也文字集略從卯作䩕下𱁲字准經義合是岡字舊音義胡浪反恐非不成字也諸字書並無此字未詳所出且存本文以俟來哲）。

鞕𱁲 (yìng-gāng; the first character has the fanqie: wǔ + gēng [yìng]. Character glossaries say: '鞕 means firm.' The Kaosheng says: 'Hard.' It is written colloquially as 硬. The Wenzi jilüe has it with 卯 as semantic component, written as 䩕. The second character, 𱁲, judging by the meaning in the sūtra, should be the character 岡. The older Sound and Meaning gives the fanqie: hú + làng [hàng], which is likely erroneous and does not constitute a character. None of the character glossaries contain this character, and its origin is unclear; the original text is temporarily retained here to await future scholars.)
