應擔（答甘反廣雅擔舉也字書擔負也或作擔從人並通從手詹聲詹音占從木者非也）。

Ought to carry (應擔: [the second character] has the fanqie d- + [g]an [=dān]; the Guangya says: 'Dān (擔) means to lift'; character books say: 'Dān means to shoulder a burden'; it is also written 擔 with 'person' [亻], both being acceptable; it is formed with 'hand' [手] and zhān [詹] as phonetic; zhān [詹] is pronounced zhān; forms written with 'wood' [木] are incorrect).
