佷戾（上音恨下音麗說文云佷謂不聽從也諡法曰不悔前過曰戾從戶從犬會意字也）。

Intractable and perverse (佷戾: the first character has the sound of hen (恨); the second character has the sound of li (麗); the Shuowen says: "Hen means refusing to obey." The posthumous naming rules say: "Not regretting past errors is called li (戾)." It is an ideogram composed of door and dog).
