炕旱（康浪反說文炕乾也考聲云土榻安火曰炕從火亢聲或作亢）。

炕旱 [Severe drought]: Read with the fanqie 康 [k-] + 浪 [-àng] (kàng). The Shuowen says: '炕 means dry.' The Kaosheng says: 'An earthen couch with fire arranged under it is called a 炕; it is formed from 火 (fire) with 亢 acting as phonetic.' It is also written as 亢.
