詎能（渠御反字統云未知而疑語辞也言詎能者與豈能之言意同形聲字也）。

詎能 [How can / how could]: Read with the fanqie 渠 [q-] + 御 [-ù] (jù). The Zitong says: 'A grammatical particle expressing doubt and the unknown.' Saying 詎能 has the same meaning as saying 豈能 (how could it be able); it is a phono-semantic character.
