泛於（上芳梵反賈注國語云泛浮也說文從水乏聲也經文或有作汎俗字亦通）。
泛於 [Drifting upon]: The first character is read with the fanqie 芳 [f-] + 梵 [-àn] (fàn). Jia's Commentary on the Guoyu says: '泛 means floating.' The Shuowen says: 'Formed from 水 (water) with 乏 acting as phonetic.' In the scripture, some texts write 汎, which is a colloquial form and also acceptable.
