谿澗（輕鷄反下間莧反爾雅曰水注川曰谿山陿水中曰㵎竝形聲字也）。

Ravines and mountain torrents (the upper character is [pronounced with the fanqie] 輕 + 鷄; the lower is [pronounced with the fanqie] 間 + 莧. The Erya says: 'Water flowing into a river is called a xi (mountain stream); water in a narrow mountain pass is called a jian (torrent).' Both are phono-semantic characters).
