[醇-子+(日/辛)]化（順倫反易曰萬物化醇俗作淳三蒼云淳濃也孔注尚書云[醇-子+(日/辛)]粹也說文淳粹不雜也文字典說云不澆酒也純美也從酉[古/日/羊]聲也[古/日/羊]音同上粹音雖醉反）。

[醇-子+(日/辛)]化 (fanqie 順倫 [chún]; Yijing: "'All things transform purely [化醇]'"; colloquially written as 淳; Sancang: "淳 means rich and concentrated"; Kong's commentary to the Shangshu: "[醇-子+(日/辛)] means pure"; Shuowen jiezi: "淳 means pure and unmixed"; Wenzi dian shuo: "Unwatered ale; pure and exquisite; classified under radical 酉 with phonetic component [古/日/羊]; [古/日/羊] has the same pronunciation as above; 粹 is pronounced with the fanqie 雖醉 [suì]").
