歠飲（上釧拙反說文歠飲也從[(食/酉)*欠]省叕聲也經文作𡂜或作啜皆俗字下邑錦反說文從酉作[(食/酉)*欠]酉者古文酒字也從酉飲也今省去酉作飲古文從水作𣲎）。

Sip and drink (歠飲: the upper character is chuan + zhuo fan. The Shuowen jiezi says: 歠 means to drink. It takes the [(食/酉)*欠] abbreviative signific and zhua phonetic. The sūtra text writes 𡂜 or writes 啜, which are both popular characters. The lower character is yi + jin fan. The Shuowen jiezi writes it with liquor (酉) as [(食/酉)*欠]; 酉 is the ancient character for wine. Taking 酉, it means drinking. Nowadays the 酉 is omitted to write drink (飲). The ancient script took the water signific to write 𣲎).
