蠱道（姑五反韻英云蠱毒媚惑人也韻詮云蠱蠱物病害人亦蠱毒也字書云蠧神也說文云腹中蟲也從蟲從皿或作蛄或有音野道者方言不同耳蟲音逐融反蠧音都固反皿音明秉反）。

蠱道 (Pronounced 姑 + 五 [*gǔ*]. The *Yunying* says: 'Noxious magic to bewitch and delude people.' The *Yunquan* says: 'Pestilential magic that afflicts and harms people; poisonous sorcery.' Character books say: 'A spirit of decay.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Insects within the belly.' It takes 蟲 and 皿; sometimes written 蛄. Some pronounce it as *yědào*, which is merely a regional dialect variation. 蟲 is pronounced 逐 + 融 [*chóng*]; 蠧 is pronounced 都 + 固 [*dù*]; 皿 is pronounced 明 + 秉 [*mǐng*]).
