兇悖（上勗恭反爾雅兇咎也字統恐也說文惡也從人在凶下會意亦是形聲字下蒲沒反鄭注禮記悖逆也說文亂也或作誖從心孛聲也）。

兇悖 (The upper character is pronounced 勗 + 恭 [*xiōng*]. The *Erya* says: '兇 means disaster or guilt.' The *Zitong* says: 'Fear.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Evil.' It is composed of a person underneath 凶; it is an associative compound and also a phono-semantic character. The lower character is pronounced 蒲 + 沒 [*bèi*]. Zheng [Xuan]'s commentary on the *Liji* says: '悖 means rebellious.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Disorderly.' Sometimes written 誖, taking 心 as semantic classifier and 孛 as phonetic component).
