𢱥拭 (The upper character is pronounced 桑 + 老 [*sǎo*]. The *Guangya* says: '𢱥 means to clear away.' Sometimes written with 土 as 埽. The lower character is pronounced 傷 + 力 [*shì*]. Guo Pu's commentary on the *Erya* says: 'To make clean.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Takes the semantic classifier 手 and 式 as phonetic component.' Sometimes written with 巾 as 𢂑; the meaning and use are identical).
