𭞽蓋（軒偃反古今正字云車𭞽所以禦熱也張幔網於車上為𭞽或作忓蒼頡篇作軒從巾憲聲下哥艾反俗字也廣雅蓋覆也說文苫也從草從盇盇音合葢字從草從大從血作葢今經文從羊從皿作盖俗字之也）。

𭞽蓋 (Pronounced 軒 + 偃 [*xiǎn*]. The *Gu-jin zhengzi* says: 'A chariot canopy used to ward off heat; spreading an awning net over a chariot is called 𭞽.' Sometimes written 忓. The *Cang Jie Pian* writes it as 軒, taking 巾 as semantic classifier and 憲 as phonetic component. The lower character is pronounced 哥 + 艾 [*gài*], a vulgar graph. The *Guangya* says: '蓋 means to cover.' The *Shuowen* says: 'Thatched cover; takes the semantic classifier 艸 and 盇.' 盇 is pronounced 合 [*hé*]. 葢 takes the semantic classifier 艸, 大, and 血 to make 葢. The current sūtra text writes it with 羊 and 皿 as 盖, which is a vulgar form).
