癰疽（上億恭反莊子曰瘭疽疥癕司馬彪注云浮熱為瘭不通為㿈說文腫也從疒雍也或作癰下七余反說文云久癕為疽從疒且聲且音子余反且說文從月二從一經從且訛略之也）。

癰疽 (The upper character is pronounced 億 + 恭 fanqie. Zhuangzi says: 'Boils and carbuncles, scabs and abscesses.' Sima Biao's commentary says: 'Superficial heat is 瘭; lack of circulation is 㿈.' The Shuowen says: 'Swelling; it derives from 疒 with 雍 as phonetic', or is written as 癰. The lower character is pronounced 七 + 余 fanqie. The Shuowen says: 'A chronic abscess is a 疽; it derives from 疒 with 且 as phonetic.' 且 is pronounced 子 + 余 fanqie. In the Shuowen, 且 derives from 月, 二, and 一; in the sūtra it derives from 且, which is a corrupt abbreviation).
