癬疥（上先剪反左傳云皮毛無疥癬也字書云癬風瘡也說文云癬乾瘍也從疒鮮聲下皆賣反周禮云夏時有[癢-良+(刀/皿)]疥疾也說文疥騷也從疒介聲介音與疥同）。

Favus and scabies (癬疥: the first character is [pronounced] xuan [xian + jian fan]. The Zuozhuan states: 'The skin and fur are free of scabies and favus.' The Zishu states: '癬 is a wind ulcer.' The Shuowen states: '癬 is a dry sore; from sickness (疒), xian (鮮) phonetic.' The second is [pronounced] jie [jie + mai fan]. The Zhouli states: 'In summer there are sores and scabies illnesses.' The Shuowen states: '疥 means itch; from sickness (疒), jie (介) phonetic,' jie having the same sound as 疥).
