崇飾寶隦堄（隦普米反堄研禮反鄭注考工記曰崇高也廣雅云隦堄女墻也蒼頡篇曰堄城上小垣也案賈注國語隦字作俾杜注左傳作陴廣雅作隦籀文作𩫝𩫝又音避支反今經本作俾倪字者案聲類乃是軾中環持葢杠者也又有䫌𲊲又䑀睨之字並是左右傾意邪視也或云車中傾視於外也杠音江謂葢竿）。

Lofty and adorned jeweled parapet battlements (parapet [隦]: fanqie 普 + 米; battlement [堄]: fanqie 研 + 禮; Zheng's commentary on the Kaogongji states that 崇 means lofty; the Guangya states that 隦堄 means crenellated parapets; the Cangjie pian states that 堄 is a low wall atop a city wall; note that in Jia's commentary on the Guoyu, the character 隦 is written 俾; in Du's commentary on the Zuozhuan, it is written 陴; in the Guangya, it is written 隦; in seal script, it is written 𩫝, which is also pronounced 避 + 支; current sūtra editions writing 俾倪 are, according to the Shenglei, ringed fittings on chariot front-rails holding the parasol pole; there are also characters like 䫌𲊲 or 䑀睨, all meaning glancing aside or askance, or leaning out of a chariot to look outside; 杠 is pronounced 江, referring to the canopy pole).
