資持（考工記曰資取也王逸注楚辭云待須也言苦諦為飢渴寒熱等病所隨故有所須有所求取也）。

Sustenance (*zichi*; the *Kao Gong Ji* states: "*Zi* means to take." Wang Yi's commentary on the *Chuci* states: "To await what is required." This means that the truth of suffering is accompanied by illnesses such as hunger, thirst, cold, and heat, and therefore entails needs and requisitions).
