弧矢（弧戶吾反矢式耳反說文弧木弓也考工記曰剡木曰矢謂即箭也弧字經本有從矢邊作弧或矢邊直作瓜者皆無典據矢字又作𠂕或亦作𥬘也）。

Bows and arrows (弧 [hu] is 戶 [hu] + 吾 [wu] in fanqie. 矢 [shi] is 式 [shi] + 耳 [er] in fanqie. The Shuowen jiezi states: 'A hu is a wooden bow.' The Kaogong ji states: 'Shaved wood is called a shi,' which means an arrow. In sūtra manuscripts, the character 弧 is sometimes written with 矢 beside it as 弧, or simply with 瓜 beside 矢; none of these have canonical basis. The character 矢 is also written as 𠂕 or 𥬘).
