22.14

優波尼沙陀分（正云塢波尼煞曇言塢波者近也尼煞曇者少也謂少許相近比類之分也或曰優波此云近也尼沙陀隨也謂相近比對分也或云極也謂數中之極此中經意無限善根多少俱無比對設少許亦無限極也）。

Youponishatuo fen 優波尼沙陀分 [upaniṣad portion] (Correctly it is wubonishatan [upaniṣad]. *Upa* means near; *niṣad* means slight or minute; it refers to a slightly close, comparable portion. Or it is said: *upa* translates as near, *niṣadha* means following, referring to a closely comparable fraction. Or it is said to mean the ultimate, referring to the ultimate limit among numbers. The meaning of the sūtra here is that boundless roots of good, whether numerous or few, have no comparison whatsoever; even if they were minute, they are likewise boundless).
