榜笞（榜普庾反笞勅之反字書曰榜捶也說文曰笞擊也榜字宜從手也）。

榜笞 [Flogging and bastinado] (榜 is pronounced [in fanqie] 普庾; 笞 is pronounced [in fanqie] 勅之. The Zishu says: "榜 means beating (捶)." The Shuowen says: "笞 means striking (擊)." The character 榜 should properly be written with the hand radical [搒]).
