挫恧（上租臥反郭注考工記挫折也說文挫摧也從手坐聲下女六反方言恧慙也鄭注爾雅云心愧曰恧文字典說從心而聲也）。

Cuoniu 挫恧 (The first character has the fanqie zu + wo [cuò]. Guo's commentary on the Kaogongji says: 'Cuo means to break.' The Shuowen says: 'Cuo means to crush; it takes "hand" [手] and zuò [坐] as phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie nü + liu [nǜ]. The Fangyan says: 'Niu means ashamed.' Zheng's commentary on the Erya says: 'To be ashamed in heart is called niu.' The Wenzidian shuo states: 'It takes "heart" [心] and ér [而] as phonetic').
